Account Manager - Middle East and Africa - Expedia Group, Dubai

Do you have large experience working on the Middle East and African market? If yes, this role is for you! Expedia Group is looking for an Account Manager to join our EPS brand. You will be responsible for leading strategic, top producing affiliate partner relationships through value driven service, support and technology optimisations. This position is both strategic and senior level focused.

EPS is part of Expedia for Business, the B2B arm of Expedia Group. EPS is giving partners access to EG outstanding inventory. The online travel market never stands still. What you'll do:
  • Handle a portfolio of around 40 accounts in the Middle East and Africa (South Arabia, UAE, Qatar, South Africa...). Your accounts will include clients as OTAs and travel whole-sellers
  • Work with senior and executive level management both externally and internally to drive revenue, strategy, vision and focus
  • Grasp the “big” picture for EPS and the partner, mapping specific actions to address the overall strategy and direction of both parties
  • Lead the entirety of the relationship with the partner, including working cross functionally across their organisation with commercial, product, customer service, technology, marketing, finance and accounting teams
  • Conduct face-to-face visits with each partner each year, leading executive level meetings and building senior level relationships between the partner and EPS
  • Handle all aspects of a product line including budget, forecast, performance and strategy
  • Project revenues and earnings regularly. Prepare, analyse and present monthly status reports, discussing goals and trends
  • Assist in developing marketing strategies for the partner based on their specific needs, seeking to increase sales by utilising new technologies, functionality and product lines
  • Advise on technical integration and optimisation opportunities, working closely with the internal technical teams to ensure efficient usage of EPS’s APIs and template solutions
  • Analyse industry sales trends and educate each partner that you're managing. This includes, but is not limited to, trends in: Average sales, average bookings, advertising costs, seasonality fluctuation, and the impact of increased competition
  • Independently provide suggestive feedback and strategic knowledge to improve sales
  • Retain, negotiate and extend new and existing contracts with the top partners in your account portfolio
  • Identify ways to improve overall platform functionality based on partner needs for all product lines. Drive and sell customised solutions within the company to ensure customer receives their specific requests, when possible, in a timely manner
Who you are:
  • Highly fluent in Arabic and English
  • Strong relationship selling or account management background and focus
  • Validated background in working with senior management, including C-Level executives
  • Validated experience in business/technology consulting and selling skills – you have successfully developed, sold or managed internet or high-end technology solutions!
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft office products including Power Point and Excel.
  • Comfort with additional reporting tools (e.g., Tableau) and understanding of API integrations.
  • Passionate about the business of travel
