Job Summary

A career in our Immigration, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients adopt a more strategic approach to managing their immigration matters.

You will manage a high-volume team in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment that will carefully and efficiently manage the end to end process of various non-immigrant (temporary) and immigrant (permanent residence) visas. You will also provide strategic advice and counsel to both employers and employees to help our clients gain maximum value on their immigration and mobility strategies.

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant with ideally two years’ office experience and a Middle East Immigration background is desirable, to join the team and to help support its continued expansion.

Our new Administrative Assistant will be fully integrated into the team and will work closely with lawyers and professionals of all levels. Like the rest of our team, we expect those in this role will enjoy an interesting, varied and challenging workload. The day-to-day work may involve research and gathering information for clients on immigration compliance, assisting Associates with preparing visa/work permit application packs, as well as the managing of all team administrative tasks including petty cash and invoice preparation. The role will also involve liaising with our other specialist legal teams in the Middle East and with our Network firms in other jurisdictions, and generally working with the team to develop top quality service to our clients.

Requirements

The following skills are required for this role:

Essential skills:

  • Fluency in spoken and written English; clear, articulate and confident in written and verbal communication skills
  • A high level of computer literacy, including a good working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and legal databases/caseworking tools
  • Ability to use Excel to a high level
  • Understand cash reconciliation and be able to assist the team with this on a daily basis
  • Well organised and able to deal with large amounts of information
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Primarily a team player but also able to complete specific tasks under own initiative
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible
  • Highly driven and proactive
  • Respect for confidential information

Desirable skills:

  • Proficient Arabic language ability highly desirable
