Compliance Program Manager - Google Cloud - Dubai, AE

About the job

The Office of Compliance and Integrity (OCI) uses its holistic and global capabilities to optimise consistency and calibration in managing compliance exposures across the company. As a Compliance Program Manager, you will provide support to the OCI EMEA team on various compliance matters and projects of moderate risk and complexity.

You will be managing, improving, and creating new processes, and overseeing their implementation. In addition, you will be managing and organising information and documentation for the benefit of the team, which will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team. You will interact with multiple groups within the OCI, with internal clients across Google, Product Area Compliance Leads, and with external parties.

Responsibilities
  • Manage compliance matters of moderate impact, risk, and complexity with limited oversight.
  • Field moderate risk and complex escalations from the team and internal/external clients in areas of subject expertise.
  • Implement system or process enhancements to manage workflow more effectively.
  • Act as subject matter expert and primary point person on multiple project areas, coordinate cross-functionally on project specifications, maintain feedback loop with stakeholders to identify issues and drive further improvement.
  • Arrange and organise logistics for team travel and business trips within the EMEA region.
  • Provide support to Product Area Compliance Leads in the region.
Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience working as a compliance officer or an auditor.
  • Experience with customs and practices across EMEA.
  • Ability to speak and write in English fluently.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Ability to prioritise and manage numerous simultaneous projects.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Passion for ethics and compliance.
