Account Manager (Japanese) - Strategic Accounts - LSEG

Role Summary:

Account Managers help clients achieve their strategic objectives by providing excellent relationship management, service & support. We work on understanding client’s business. We optimise client’s workflows and priorities. The Account Manager for Group/Key strategic account is responsible for maintaining deep customer relationships to drive account revenue growth and retention. We help developing a high value contact network within these accounts, opening doors to retain & grow our book of business. This role is specifically focused on Group/Key strategic account management of one or more EMEA and/or US or Asia domiciled accounts.

The AM will be accountable for the commercial close of all deals and retention of existing business.
You will also create/support larger solution opportunities and work alongside Proposition Sales and Customer Success Managers to close them.

What will you be doing?
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of the customer decision makers’ strategies, priorities and needs
  • Have solid understanding of our propositions to initiate conversations and raise interest
  • Build and embed a long-term trusted advisor relationship within accounts
  • Drive growth by growing our revenue footprint within accounts
  • Expand overall customer engagement and increase net revenue within book of business
  • Be responsible for all commercial activities within accounts, owning the end-to-end customer relationship
  • Drive efficiency in account administration
  • Manage internal and external partners and maintain networks to negotiate and close deals
  • Ensure high client satisfaction & service levels are maintained
  • Focus on constantly learning new products, proposition and stay abreast of industry trends
  • Own the input & maintenance of all account plans & activities in Salesforce
  • Analyse impact from intelligence on competitor activity and provide feedback to senior management and Product teams
  • Work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and bring a positive culture to work every day!
  • Excellent time management skills, team work but also independent drive and execution
  • Open to change and easily adaptable to changes and opportunities
What are we looking for?
  • Experience in Sales / Business Development / Account Management, strong customer focus and orientation
  • Strong understanding of customers - their business model and workflows
  • Strong understanding of financial markets
  • Previous market or competitor experience is preferred
  • Highly motivated self-starter who can manage his/her work independently
  • Presentation and interpersonal skills: ability to deliver and communicate at all levels within an organisation, including C-level
  • Selling skills (identity, develop and articulate a sophisticated proposition/consultative selling)
  • Ability to develop and execute a sales execution plan (account plan, territory plan)
  • Problem solving—ability to understand, articulate, structure and solve client needs
  • Proven communication, selling, persuasion skills
  • Solid understanding of front, middle & back office workflow in asset management
  • Good Knowledge of CRM software and admin systems
  • Additional language to English is a plus (Japanese, French, Chinese, Spanish etc)
