Position Overview

As a Lean Leader, you will be responsible for driving the transformation system of GEHC International, supporting the Gemba Teams and Leadership to focus on the most important aspects of the value stream, owning the Kaizen funnel and roadmap, and ensuring execution on prioritised transformations. You will help accelerate the development of a Lean mindset across International, and act as catalyst of collaboration across functions, product segments and geographical zones.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Kaizen Funnel: Maintain the funnel, ensure prioritisation with key stakeholders, move the funnel to execution by aligning the right resources and teams, and provide the relevant coaching and mentoring. Ensure we have to-the-point kaizen charters.
  • Kaizen Execution: Support Kaizen leaders and teams with the preparation work. Provide lean leadership during Kaizens; support with the relevant Lean tools, methods and mindset. Ensure a culture of sustainment post-Kaizen, and that transformations are properly handed over to operational teams.
  • Transformation Review: Organise and run the transformation reviews with the leadership team of International. Use these reviews to take key decisions, and to accelerate progress. Review the funnel and sharpen the roadmap.
  • Lean Practitioners: Actively engage with, inspire and coach a broader bench of talented practitioners to further disseminate Lean across the organisation.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Lean certification will be considered a plus but is not a pre-requisite.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a functional role (preferably in FP&A, commercial, services and/or operations) with a proven track record of successful lean practice in a commercial environment and/or operations.
Key Attributes
  • Outstanding Customer Focus: Demonstrated commitment to understanding and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Lean Mindset: Proven ability to apply a lean mindset effectively in various contexts is a pre-requisite.
  • Business Simplification: Proven ability to reduce complexity and to improve efficiency and effectiveness in processes and business cadences.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal skills to engage, influence, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Communication: Comfortable interacting with both field teams and executive leadership.
  • Strategic and Hands-On Approach: Strategic thinker with the ability to execute plans in a hands-on manner to achieve tangible results.
