The Consulting Service Line has a global network of over 23,000 professionals with over 4,000 advisors in the UK & Ireland (UK&I). We provide Performance Improvement, Risk and IT Risk & Assurance services to our customers.

The Consulting line is organised around three markets, Energy and Assets (E&A), Government and Public Sector (GPS) and Products and Services (P&S).

We are looking for technology-minded, business-focused and creative senior consultants with a passion for bringing context to SAP innovations and ability to demonstrate how it can help transform our clients’ day to day operations. Your key responsibilities

In your role as an EY AgilityWorks Consultant you will have responsibility for designing & delivering key aspects of our projects and transformation programmes within our client base. You will be expected to:

• Deliver strategic and operational change
• Manage a work stream on a client facing engagement
• Engage and collaborate with clients’ stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
• Build excellent client relationships
• Work as part of a high performing team, mentoring junior members of staff

As a Manager you would be expected to:

• Act as a line manager to Senior Consultants and ACPs
• Develop excellent client relationships
• Influence stakeholders across all levels, including CEO
• Deliver with the use of proven project methodology
• Mange profitable engagements
• Council and mentor more junior members of staff
• Generate sales according to Advisory targets

Skills and attributes for success

You will have knowledge and experience of the following:

• Mathematical background with referenceable experience of statistical modelling techniques such as probability distributions, linear regression, multinomial regression, survival analysis, outlier detection or Bayesian statistics
• Working knowledge of data science methodology and common modelling techniques such as decision trees, random forests, neural networks, cluster or associative analysis
• Hands on development experience of advanced statistical analysis, machine learning and predictive modelling on one or more cloud platforms including the following:
  • R Programming
  • Python
  • SQL
  • Apache Spark
• Full understanding of the features and limitations of SAP’s Business Intelligence products
• Experience within an SAP development project, either BW on HANA or BW/4 HANA solutions and hands on experience of core solution capabilities including;
  • Data Extraction from SAP & Non-SAP sources & delta handling
  • LSA++ Architecture
  • Data Flow Modelling including advanced DSOs, Composite Providers, InfoSources, Transformations, Process Chains & AMDPs
  • HANA Modelling & Optimisation
  • BW Query Design

To qualify for the role you must have

• Proven track record of driving business value through the successful deployment of statistical models
• The ability to structure teams, manage work streams and create solutions
• Good understanding of the full life cycle of SAP BI implementations
• Good understanding and ability to articulate the advanced analytics value proposition
• An ability to shape, structure & plan advanced analytics engagements
• Experience working to an agile methodology
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build ‘Trusted Adviser’ relationships
• Strong presentation skills
• Willingness to travel as required in relation to working at Client Sites on specific engagements

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience developing solutions using SAP Data Intelligence & SAP HANA PAL
• Experience developing reporting solutions in one of more of the SAP front-end tools including SAC, WEBI or, Design Studio
• Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI or Qlikview
• Functional understanding of core modules within current SAP source systems
• Exposure to a specific industry would be advantageous
