Digital Optimisation Manager - Retail

Role Responsibility

As an Optimisation Manager, you will lead on onsite initiatives and projects, building and implementing strategies to meet sales and profit plans. You’ll manage a team of site merchandisers to deliver plans to optimise the onsite shopping experience across our markets and divisions. You’re data driven, understand the digital customer, and use key onsite metrics to drive performance.​
As Optimisation Manager you will:​

  • Works closely with trading managers and market leads to build onsite divisional plans. Own the onsite plans for your division to drive onsite KPIs in line with overall divisional strategy​
  • Contribute to the development of the digital roadmap ensuring onsite priorities for your categories​
  • Own the onsite performance of your divisions. Using your comprehensive knowledge of the digital customer to analyse the key onsite metrics across conversion funnel, click through, page performance and search performance​
  • Lead your team to improve and develop onsite navigation, creating and sorting rules for your division and your team's respective departments, ensuring a cohesive approach​
  • Manage cross divisional projects to drive specific onsite objectives​
  • Manage and lead your team giving regular feedback and coaching. Recognising both talent and development areas, you will create unique plans to progress your team using the tools available​
  • Work with UX to build initiatives for onsite development
The Ideal Candidate
  • Data driven. Knowledge of website analytics such as google analytics, as well as page merchandising tooling such as Fredhopper. You are experienced in delivering right reports and dashboards, using them to track success and make the right decisions​
  • A digital KPI native. You have a successful track record in driving onsite metrics, with an ability to deliver excellence. You will have experience in using digital metrics to drive success.​
  • Have strong analytical skills, and the ability to turn analysis into plans and actions​
  • Have a test and learn mentality​
  • Naturally pragmatic and solutions orientated. You are calm under pressure and can give clear guidance​
  • Service and experienced focused. Responsible for the onsite execution in your area, you motivate your team to find solutions to customer challenges​
  • Organised and proactive. With strong digital experience, you are skilled at interpreting data and responding to it. Navigating yourself and your team to formulate plans to drive onsite improvements
