Job Summary:

Zurich Middle East is part of Zurich Insurance Group, one of the world's largest and most experienced insurers. Our mission is to help our local community understand and protect themselves from risk both locally and globally.

Reporting to the Head of Market Management, the Product Owner is expected to deliver value to senior stakeholders by applying Agile principles, values and methodologies. They will be responsible for refining the Middle East Market Management backlog with internal and external priorities.

This is a 12 months contract role.

Job Accountabilities:

• Develops, owns and executes the product roadmap
• Aligns new digital business models with the Zurich Middle East Strategy and Product Development
• Partners with stakeholder and agile delivery teams to prioritise features and ensure business benefit
• Translates product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria
• Bridges the gaps between the Delivery Team and other stakeholders by representing and liaising with key representatives from across the organisation
• Champion of human centred design to drive the team's thinking, making sure that the right product is built in the context of current market and product maturity

Business Accountabilities

• Supporting and educating the Function Heads, Executive Committee and Delivery teams, especially with respect to refining and managing the product backlog
• Working with the Agile BA team, developers and partners to refine requirements and designs

Job Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Minimum 5 – 7 years experience in IT, digital transformation or customer experience
• 2+ years’ experience as Product Ownership, Product Development or Product Management
• Expert user of Atlassian apps; Jira, Confluence
• Established background in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams and high degree of proficiency in prototyping, iterative development, understanding of Agile principles
• Experience successfully driving end-to-end delivery of data and intelligence solutions, including a wide variety of mechanisms, e.g. dashboards, APIs, real time alerts, etc.
• Experience with procurement, expense management, and treasury businesses and processes
