Front Office Supervisor - Swissôtel Al Ghurair

Hotel Overview:

Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair Hotel is a 620-room-and-suite upper upscale property. Catering for both business and leisure clientele. The hotel is located in Deira in the heart of Dubai and within easy reach of major tourist landmarks, leisure destinations and city services. It is linked to the Al Ghurair Shopping Centre, only 3 stops away on the Dubai Metro from the Dubai World Trade Centre and a 10 minute drive from Dubai International Airport.

As a Front Office Supervisor you will be responsible for the supervision and control of the Front Desk operation, ensuring all Front Desk Services, behavioural and technical are maintained in accordance with the Swissotel standards and in line with hotel's strategic plan.

What you will be doing:
  • Keeps abreast of all product knowledge, ranging from daily functions, services and facilities available, and marketing and promotional activities.
  • Ensures all directions are followed out at the request of any level of Senior Management.
  • Projects a favourable image of the hotel, through a positive and professional attitude, manner, and presentation.
  • Ensuring that all hotel team members are providing prompt, attentive and friendly service at all times (in line with LQA standards), constantly reviewing guest feedback (direct, online reviews or surveys),performance and operations of yourself and the department, offering suggestions for improvement.
  • Keep clear and comprehensive records of guest room bookings and all billings for accountability and future reference.
  • Maintain and balance a cash float according to hotel procedures.
  • Take ownership and follow-up on any discrepancies.
  • In charge of accurate and timely shift closure of Front Desk Agents as well as coordination of shift breaks.
  • Assists with all month end reports and tasks as directed by Duty Managers/Night Manager and the Finance Department.
Your experience and skills include:
  • Min. 2 years’ experience in Hotel Industry (preferably from 5* Hotel)
  • Experience of motivating and leading a team.
  • Competency using a variety of computer softwares.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
Visa requirements:

Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in Dubai. Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair will cover visa costs and flights for selected candidates from place of origin.
