Commercial Executive / Specialist - TechnipFMC - Abu Dhabi

Job description:

Purpose:

  • A Commercial Executive / Specialist job is primarily a customer facing function (both internal and external) and entails selling or introducing represented products to established clients, in close conjunction with an outside sales representative.
  • Customer interfacing includes requests for quotations, lead times, order placement, expediting, or changes, the building of quotations, and communicating pertinent information proactively back to customers.
  • Extensive commercial knowledge as well as superior problem-solving skills is also required.
Role and responsibilities

Strategy:

  • Coordinate ITT review and executes quote prep in line with agreed strategy

Execution

  • Focal point for preparation and submission of quotations
  • Coordinates order execution
  • Review tender requirements and coordinate with relevant functions (Sales & Aftermarket, Engineering, planning, QA, HSES) to gather inputs for tender preparation and submission
  • Prepare Bills of Material and cost estimates (full system costs will be handled by Costing team)
  • Facilitate pricing and prepare tender packages within schedule
  • Submit quotations on time
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to address clarifications/negotiations
  • Coordinate contract review with internal and external stakeholders
  • Kickoff Orders with relevant stakeholders such as Engineering, Materials, QA etc. and enter Sales Orders and coordinate order execution to meet contractual requirements.
  • Reporting – Order status, LDs, Warranty etc.
  • Adhere to GBPMS and HSES guidelines

  • Contribute ideas to optimise and make processes easier from an operator’s perspective
Key Competencies
  • Able to review the tender
  • Verify and follow up for the completeness of tender document
  • Obtain stated deliverables in the tender from relevant stakeholders
  • Plan the tender preparation schedule to meet bid closing date
  • Conduct kickoff meeting with internal stakeholders
  • Prepare Order Execution Plan
  • Prepare Bills of Material (BOM) – able to meets tender scope of work in a timely manner
  • Confirm the BOM with the quotation layout
  • Prepare costing – able to estimate costs in a timely manner
  • Communicate clear requirements and get RFQs from qualified vendors / internal stakeholders
  • Adjust standard costs from SAP to reflect actual costs
  • Facilitate pricing of tender – able to present costs and historical prices
  • Seek pricing approvals
  • Package tender and able to coordinate the preparation of the bid package in a timely manner
  • Review Contract – able to review the contract and identify deviations in the technical and commercial scope of work
  • Coordinate deviations on legal, QA and other contractual requirements with stakeholders
  • Communicate with customer and follow up for closure
  • Kickoff order – able to orders including variations in a timely manner
  • Communicate all the order requirements to the relevant stakeholders
  • Communicate clarifications with customers
  • Create sales orders in SAP on time
  • Product knowledge – able to exhibits basic product knowledge sufficient to interpret customer specifications into Bills of Material
  • Understand basic drilling processes
  • Describe conventional wellheads, Unihead systems, Tree types and MLS
  • Identify material selection for API 6A trims
  • Identify material specifications
  • SAP – able to use sales & distribution module
  • Basic awareness of financial processes – able to identify and request credit limits, debit and credit notes
  • Identify and comply to approval limits
  • Identify & raise guarantee requests
  • Identify and request Hedge
  • Review Letter of credits
  • Identify commercial and legal terms and costs/risks – able to apply Incoterms, payment terms, guarantees & LCs
  • Identify critical risks on terms and seek advice from SME on LD term, warranty term and limitations of liability
  • Effective communication ensures that regular communication occurs based on the needs of the individual or project, listens well, clarifies the intent of others communication, tailors communication to the level of the audience, and utilises creative methods such as analogies and visuals to communicate complex ideas
  • Time Management able to independently plan and prioritise work to meet deadlines
  • Problem solving/Innovation - Often breaks down problems into their fundamental parts, identifies their root causes, analyses costs, benefits, risks, and chances for success of potential
  • Values - demonstrates application of TFMC's values
You are meant for this job if
  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines
  • 3 – 5 years experience in the oil and gas or related industries in tendering process with hands on knowledge of preparing detailed cost estimates and bills of material and coordinating order execution
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Office suite of applications
