MENA Corporate Sales Desk Assistant - Citi UAE

Function background/context:

The UAE Corporate Sales and Solutions Team provides solutions & services to Corporates, Public Sector, and Multinational clients across the MENAP region. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated person to join the team to provide support on day to day tasks as well as taking the lead in initiatives related to internal reporting, client support and sales processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain presentation and other material for internal purposes (Monthly Business Reviews, Senior Business Reviews, etc)
  • Assist with external presentation for client workshops, training, etc. with focus on formatting
  • Support day to day business:
    • Handle client onboarding (Base account opening, KYC process, regulatory requirements, client account maintenance)
    • Handle Post trade requirements such as following up with back office on confirmation, settlements, amendments
    • Manage, escalate and resolve all requests / inquiries / issues / errors related to CSS transactions
    • Help team in maintaining client records; including contacts, documentation, call reports, pipelines
    • Provide support with answering client requests while Sales team are in meetings or traveling
  • Help collate data to help the team in monitoring and analysing FX portfolio performance
  • Compiling market updates from Citi research portal / Citi Velocity and by gathering info from local teams for specific markets
  • Providing access to Citi Velocity to our clients and add new users
  • Assist in credit limit calculation and credit charges, as well as monitoring credit limit usage
  • Responsible for general administration duties as necessary such as calendar management and event coordination
  • Assist with control and supervisory framework to ensure adherence to audit and control policies
Qualifications and Competencies:
  • 0-5 years of experience in a related role
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience (beneficial)
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office, especially Power Point and Excel
  • Multitasking and ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and intermediate problem solving skills
  • Project Management Skills
  • Willingness to take initiative and take on more responsibilities
  • Ability to adapt and evolve in response to changing processes / regulatory environment
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Good understanding of Citi internal systems and processes (trade lifecycle, client support etc)
  • Language
    • English & French (must have - fluent)
    • Arabic (preferable)
