Payments and Wallets Manager - Qatar Airways, Doha

About the role

As a Payments and Wallet Manager, you will be Leading and executing the overall end customer-based digital payments proposition through development of compelling business plans and by leading and participating in cross-functional project teams.
Develop and maintain digital payment product strategic roadmap/pipeline, by gaining input from various stakeholders. Lead relationship with key providers in the payment value chain and senior business stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, IT, Legal and Procurement to secure their engagement and commitment to plans, and act as key subject matter expert.

Other key responsibilities are:

  • Define and execute digital payments and wallets strategy to achieve Division's digital objectives.
  • Maximize digital channels for revenue generation by optimising digital payment portfolio.
  • Establish and follow key performance indicators related to digital payment and wallet usage in order to identify opportunities and optimise performance.
  • Own key payment metrics globally and derive actionable insights into improving the experience for our customers, improving performance, and ensuring efficient cost structures.
  • Improve service standards and customer experience by leveraging the latest technology including personalisation to implement and operate payment products that re-define the traveler’s digital experience.
  • Influence multiple cross-functional teams to optimise the customer payment journey across.
  • Lead the functional evaluation and negotiation with potential new or existing vendors to help procure industry leading payment services.
  • Review, establish and ensure all business and new product launch procedures are followed before launch.
  • Monitor and assess latest market trends and developments in payments, wallets and innovation.
  • Regularly update stakeholders across Qatar Airways Group to ensure they are aligned with the digital roadmap and progress.

About You

We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join the Digital Commerce & Service Experience team.

  • Experience in the field of Digital Payments
  • Solid working experience with at least 5 years in developing or managing digital payment products or ecommerce payment solutions
  • Experience in the online travel industry (airline or online travel agency preferred) or digital retail industry Prior experience working in a head office of a multi-national company with global responsibilities
  • Must have experience working in more than one geographical region (continent) and prior exposure to a multicultural work environment
  • Previous experience of working in a product management digital role within a large organisation and of bringing payment propositions to market
  • Good understanding of all aspects of digital product development such as customer experience, UI/UX design, engineering, analytics
  • Very knowledgeable about digital sales and marketing technologies and latest industry trends across online retail and online travel in particular
  • Good presentation skills and ability and confidence to present to Senior Management
  • Ability to think strategically & creatively to develop winning digital payment product & platform strategies Exceptional skills in driving results against aggressive timelines, managing multiple priorities and executing flawlessly
