Regional Material Management and Logistics Leader - Rolls Royce, Dubai

Responsibilities and Duties:

What you will do:

  • Establish, operate and optimise logistic processes for Middle East logistics center and product return cycles.
  • Ensure the timely effective logistical supply process aligned and compliant with RRPS global logistic processes of the group, business and the host country (import/export)
  • Build strong relationships with overseas factory counterparts and suppliers. Establish regional service agreements with 3rd party logistics company for handling (storage of parts, tools, etc..) and customs clearance activities
  • Identify regional suppliers and manage negotiations for non MTU/Rolls-Royce Power Systems products supplies to support offering of solutions and execution of service jobs
  • Ensure effective handling of operational procedures related to verification of incoming and ongoing shipments, customer-duty clearance, handling and disposition of tools and parts, return and inventory of all leased special tools
  • Be responsible for effective, timely, and accurate communication of orders to distributors and customers including relevant documentation.
  • Be responsible for document maintenance and the coordination of all order processing issues, customer master data, & pricing in SAP
  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting for the regional logistics center. Prepare periodic management reports for review
  • Drive continuous and permanent customer satisfaction to ensure high level of service delivery
  • Ensure Key Performance Indicators of revenue and profit targets are met
  • Other tasks as assigned by manager.

Qualification/ Experience and Competencies

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Minimum 6 years of professional logistics experience
  • Strong hands-on experience in MENA region with full understanding of import-export requirements, customs regulations and local laws
  • Relevant and advanced qualifications in logistics covering warehousing and distribution
  • Proficient in MS Office (mainly Advanced Excel) and SAP
  • Contract negotiation and management experience.
  • Diligence and good attention to detail. Well-organised who take on a methodical approach to coordinate effectively with multiple parties and stakeholders.
  • Ability to prepare and analyse reports and communicate at all organisational levels
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Relevant exposure to compliance guidelines, ethics and regional best practices.
  • Excellent English language and communication skills, German is advantageous.
