Planning & Performance Management Analyst - Zurich Insurance Middle East

Job Summary:

Reporting to the PPM Retail Business Partner, the PPM Analyst will support the Business Partnering function and use expertise in accounting, business partnering and breadth of understanding of the business to support regular expense management processes for the business unit by coordinating and ensuring delivery of on expense reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis.

Job Accountabilities

The PPM Analyst has the responsibility to undertake the following expense management activities:

  • Providing financial reports to budget owners on the expense position.
  • Liaising with budget owners on simple expense process questions and understanding the financial expense position.
  • Supporting the monthly expense close to ensure all relevant expenses have been booked with appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Act as a point of contact for business for simple financial expense queries.
  • Assist in the production of annual expense budget and regular forecast process, ensuring all reporting requirements are delivered in line with Group requirements.
  • Develop a basic working knowledge of relevant segments (direct expenses, allocated expenses, recharges, claims) and act as a subject matter expert for any queries relating to financial performance of these segments.
  • Understands specific local market trends relating to the expense metrics.
  • Support the business strategy in conjunction with other initiatives through provision of financial expense analysis and commentaries.
  • Provides robust, timely information relating to all aspects of expense performance in order to enhance business decision making.
  • Contribute to the delivery of all internal and external reporting requirements for specific segments in adherence to group timetable requirements.
  • Co-ordinate the annual planning cycle on behalf of the Senior Planning & Performance Reporting Manager including local country Chief Financial Officer and senior business stakeholders as required.
  • Assist in resolution of all segment queries for specific items within the profit and loss account.
Job Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) and 2 or more years of experience in the Insurance Industry.
  • Proficient with accounting principles and data analysis.
  • Strong digital learning agility and literacy.
  • Take action to manage your own personal development.
