Business Analyst, IES MVR - Amazon.ae, Dubai

JOB SUMMARY:

Amazon is looking for a highly skilled Business Analyst, with a passion for making an impact through Analytics and delivering solutions at scale for emerging countries including Singapore, UAE, KSA, Egypt.

We seek an individual with expertise in data analytics, robust business acumen, an ownership mindset, and effective communication skills. In this role, you'll utilise our data to enhance efficiencies, offer key insights, explore new opportunities, and drive innovation in collaboration with business teams. Responsibilities include managing entire components of large projects, from data gathering to synthesis, modelling, problem-solving, and communicating insights. You'll also contribute to building metrics, reporting to senior leadership, and adapting to a dynamic, fast-paced environment, demonstrating a continuous learning mindset for evolving systems and tools.

Key job responsibilities:
  • Own the development and maintenance of new and existing artefacts focused on analysis of requirements, metrics, and reporting dashboards.
  • Partner with business/finance teams to consult, develop and implement metrics, automated reporting/process solutions, and process improvements to meet business needs.
  • Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
  • Prepare and deliver business requirements reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks.
  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions.
  • Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support our business needs.
  • Excellent writing skills, to create artefacts easily digestible by business and tech partners.
  • Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience.
  • 3+ years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights.
  • Experience with Excel.
  • Experience with data visualisation using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience in business or financial analysis
