Business Support & Protocol Assistant - QatarGas

Job Purpose:

Provide administrative support to the Public Relations Department leadership and personnel.

Job and responsibilities:
  • Prepare and compiles the monthly Accruals and Variances Reports for all PR Department Cost Centres, Cost Elements and submits reports to Finance to ensure actual monthly expenditure costs are measured against the YTD and FY approved Budget Plan.
  • Assist in reviewing and endorsing all PR Department related Invoices in accordance to the approved budget to ensure proper utilisation of cost centres and cost elements for processing invoices as per Finance’s Chart of Accounts definitions.
  • Maintain, organise, analyse, update and retrieve data from SAP, Access, appropriate data files and update records accordingly in SAP and/or other corporate systems.
  • Perform clerical and administrative works including setting and arranging appointments and meetings, project planning, project filing, project invoices and time management of assignments.
  • Establish and maintain documentation system and database so as to maintain accuracy and reliability of information.
  • Prepare data in order to generate report charts and presentations.
  • Support the information processing problems and escalate to manager where applicable.
  • Provide point of reference on simple aspects of work for guidance on practices, precedents and techniques.
  • Prepare appropriate paperwork to advise customers, superiors and more junior staff.
Qualifications

Minimum: completion of Secondary school Education (12 years).

Qatargas provides all of its employees with either good quality rent-free accommodation in Al Khor or Doha, or a housing allowance.
The Al Khor housing complex is located at the northern end of Al Khor and is about thirty minutes drive from Ras Laffan Industrial City.
The community consists of villas and family houses. The villas are single story houses with their own private courtyard garden and garage.
The family houses are two storey apartment blocks with three bedrooms in each apartment, common gardens and designated parking space. There are four houses in each block.​
