GSK Nucala Business Unit Manager - GlaxoSmithKline, Dubai

Job position summary:

Are you a Nucala Business Unit Manager who is energised by the challenge of being part of one of the leading pharmaceutical companies worldwide? If so, Nucala Business Unit Manager role is the one for you to explore.

As a Nucala Business Unit Manager, you will be providing overall leadership to your relevant portfolio, managing marketing and sales operations, capturing untapped opportunities for future growth and developing GSK talents. The candidate will be responsible for implementing strategic plans, driving access, executing required operations while managing product supply and demand.

The candidate will assist the Specialty Business Unit Director in overseeing the successful design and implementation of strategies to make sure having an outstanding and competitive performance in all Gulf countries, namely UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:

Core Responsibilities:
  • Managing and developing marketing and sales teams to deliver agreed Lead and Lag KPIs and provide ideal solutions for the external stakeholders.
  • Designing and implementing the commercial brand strategy and tactical brand activities.
  • Maintaining a high performing team who is able to understand the entire patient journey within the field of eosinophilic diseases, including severe asthma and nasal polyps.
  • Developing mid to long term strategies to add value to the product lifecycle within Specialty Business Unit.
  • Leading the cross functional brand team in alignment with strategic partners such as medical, access, regulatory, CTC and Customer Services & Logistics.
  • Partnering with regional and global sales & marketing colleagues to deliver expected outcomes.
  • Being accountable for forecasting, financial planning, and P&L delivery of the portfolio.
People Responsibilities:
  • Leading the cross-functional brand team to achieve annual objectives.
  • Driving the team and act as a role model in living the company values of integrity, respect for people, transparency and putting the patient at the core of every decision we take.
  • Maximising the performance of the team through regular coaching sessions, field visits and trainings.
  • Supporting the team to develop tailored development plans to fit their career aspirations.
  • Developing the sales team to master account management skills, deliver high quality detailing and provide exceptional omnichannel customer experience.
  • Ensuring performance review discussions are in place and are followed up regularly.
Compliance Responsibilities:
  • Full cooperation in terms of GSK and country standard way of operations.
  • Build and maintain compliance knowledge and implement governance processes to ensure that activities take place in adherence to GSK’s prevailing codes, policies and procedures and legal requirements.
  • Ensure strong business partnerships, with stakeholders to manage issue that may arise, and determine approved courses of action.
  • Develop collaborative relationships based on trust, openness, honesty and transparency.
  • Demonstrate authenticity, values and integrity.
Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years pharma-industry experience, including sales and marketing, ideally in various therapeutic areas and different specialties.
  • People management experience is a must.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the business dynamics, country specific requirements and related HCP groups.
  • Having consistent high performance, proven success record within his/her company
  • Strategic thinking, detail-orientation, and business acumen.
  • Able to manage professional relationships with HCPs, key institutions and professional associations.
  • Resilient, self-motivated, and persistent, able to meet deadlines and be effective under pressure.
  • Excited for challenging status-quo, using creativity and coming up with new & bold ideas.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
